Our Stay at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™, Williamsport, Maryland

We received free lodging at this resort. All opinions are my own.

Last week we had the opportunity to spend 3 nights at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ Resort in Williamsport, MD. During our stay I got a lot of questions about this camping experience, so today I am sharing all of the details with you.

If your family is in need of a trip away from home and you are looking for a beautiful natural setting to encourage kids to enjoy the outdoors without having to plan a complicated family camping itinerary, look no further. Jellystone Park™ is a camp-resort, which means they provide a camp experience for all levels of travelers. Whether you choose the comforts of a cabin, the adventure of tent camping, or you just want to park your RV in a full-service site, you will be covered!

Accomodations

With two little kids (4 and 2 years old) having a comfortable space and accessibility to basics like shower and AC/ heat is a must. We enjoyed all the perks of camping vacation without sacrificing the comforts of home at our Bear- Themed Premium Loft Cottage. This cabin is themed after the bears and they feature a full kitchen, bathroom, separate bedroom with queen bed, a screened-in porch and a lofted sleeping area which was a hit for the kids! Basically, all the amenities that you would expect with a condo rental. Outside we had our own picnic table, charcoal grill, and fire ring. We also got linens and pillows which are available for rent. Lines rentals includes pillow, sheets, blanket, towels, and wash cloths for $20 a set.

In adition to linens, there are also a number of features that guests can add to their experience for a fee. We got a golf cart and my kids thoroughly enjoyed cruising around in it. Golf carts are a great way to get around the park, but it’s not a necessity. Everything at Jellystone Resort-Williamsport is within walking distance. However, I definitely recommend renting one. We stayed at the premium cottages and that was a bit far from the pool and some other activities and the golf cart came in very handy when the kids were tired after a full day playing around.

Activities

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw that we were always up to something different. There were quite a few activities and we tried to enjoy the ones that suited our family. A few things are only open for the weekend, so before you make a reservation, check the website for a schedule of activities available.

The following activities are included in your stay with no extra charge:

Water Zone and Pool

This past weekend the weather was beautiful and it was sunny and hot, so we headed outside for some water zone fun and pool time.

Water Zone Fun
Kids Pool

Mini Golf Course

The mini golf course was my oldest son favorite. He had a blast playing there and going through all the obstacles to score in the hole.

Jumping Pad and Jumping Pillow ( was closed for renovations)

Playgrounds all around the resort

There were 3 different playgrounds in all areas of the camp. There was one within one minute walk from our cabin!

Pedal Carts

The Pedal Carts was a whole family fun. We played racing each other and even my little one enjoyed ridding on my lap.

Horseshoe

When I say they have activities for the whole family, that includes mom and dad too! 😂 My favorite thing was trying to get the horseshoe in the ring!

Nature Trails

The hiking trails were beautiful and peaceful and kid friendly. In the mornings we went for a walk in the trails and we even encountered a neighbors farm with a nice view of the cows.

Scavenger Hunt (family finding letters)

He was super excited to find his little brothers first name Letter R!

Lazer tag and gem mining are available for an additional fee.

The park also has themed weekends throughout the year. This weekend was Colorful Fun Run themed. So be sure to check the website to learn more about the exciting activities during your stay.

Also during the weekends, kids can have a great time with bear-themed activities like the Hey Hey ride. Enjoy a ride through the park on the wagon accompanied by the bears. The boys loved it!

Hey Hey Ride with Ranger

We arrived on Thursday and enjoyed an earlier check in at 11 am so we took the day to explore around and get to know the camp resort. We drove around in our golf cart and stopped at some of the amenities that were open for the kids to play.

Washing their feet after a full day playing

After a fun day playing and enjoying all the activities, sitting by the firepit in our campground and enjoy some BBQ and s’mores was the best way to end our night.

Facilities

If you need firewood or any other necessities that you night have forgotten to bring, just visit the Ranger Station. They carry all camping supplies, groceries, ice, wood and anything else you need to make your trip stress free.

And if you are enjoying the pool or water zone and need a quick snack for the kiddos, just visit the Campfire Canteen. You can find delicious pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, pretzels, fries, ICEE and ice cream.

They also have laundry facilities, bark park (for you furry friends) comfort stations if you are camping in tents or have no bathroom in your cabin.

Jellystone Park offers a safe and fun family vacation experience that the whole family can enjoy. Whether you are looking for a quick weekend escape or an extended summer vacation Yogi Bears Jellystone Park™ is the ideal destination.

Overall, we had an amazing stay that I don’t think the kiddos will ever forget. We drove 3 hours and a half from our home in New Jersey and it was totally worth it. I would highly recommend staying at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Williamsport, Maryland.

Also check the website for a list of all locations near you. They have parks all around the US.
