Visiting Cape May County Zoo in NJ

When my first born was one year old, we took him to our local zoo for a day trip. He was too little and even though he had a good time, he didn’t understand much at that age. So a week ago he started school on pre-K 4 and out of the sudden he started to ask about animals in the zoo and his curiosity grew. So yesterday we planned a fun family day trip down to Cape May to visit the County Zoo. I’ve heard great things about the park and zoo and decided that it was worth the drive. From our house in North Jersey to Cape May it’s about 2 hours and a half drive. So we planned accordingly to go to the zoo first and then spend the day down the shore. The Cape May County Zoo is open every day except for Christmas, weather permitting. The hours of operation are from 10:00 am until 3:30pm in the winter and 10:00am until 4:30pm in the summer. One of the best features …

Summer Fun at the Land of Make Believe

Thank you Land of Make Believe for hosting us. As always, all opinions are still 100% my own. Summer is all about making family memories, and this year we have taken that very seriously. The boys are in perfect ages to explore tons of activities and cool places New Jersey has to offer. So when I learned about Land of Make Believe, I knew that it was a destination I had to plan a trip to. The Land of Make Believe is a family-owned amusement park that features carnival-like rides, a water park, a Christmas barn, a few farm animals, some make- believe entertainment and much more. It was designed specifically for little children, so it is ideal for family with young kids. But seriously, anyone at this park will have an amazing time. I really like the whole concept of how it all started around 60 years ago. “Land of Make Believe’s founder designed & built with the dream of providing affordable Family fun. No longer would parents be “passive spectators.” They would, in …

Thank you Dino Safari USA for hosting us. As always, all opinions are still 100% my own. This summer, I have made a commitment to try and find things to do and places to visit around New Jersey with my kids and when I heard that Dino Safari USA was coming to different locations in NJ I got really excited! My 4 year old is fascinated with dinosaurs and his little brother is just learning to like them as well. Our Visit to Medieval Times in NJ- A Recap of a Fun Night

Thanks to Medieval Times Lyndhurst NJ for our complimentary invitation. Last night we had the opportunity to visit Medieval Times for the third time! My first time attending the show was back in 2008. It was actually a date night for me and my boyfriend, today my husband 🙂 After that we went back again with friends and family and had a blast. Now after hearing the news that they were reopening I wanted to take my two boys (4 and 2 year old) for their first experience. The Medieval Times is a themed dinner show that includes a feast, horse showcases, knight games and live-action battles and jousts. My older boy has been talking about seeing the horses all week long and last night he was so excited! They open the doors one hour before the show and the Medieval Times experience begins the moment you see the castle. Once inside, there are employees wearing traditional Middle Ages attire to greet you. The grand lobby has colorful decor lots of weapons displays with several …

A Day in Central Park + #ootd

After over one year we decided to go visit NYC and picked Central Park as our destination. Since the pandemic hit we haven’t been there and I was really surprised and happy to see that the city is starting to go back to normal. There is so much to do in the city and I was excited to take the kids to explore. We went to our favorite sushi restaurant spot which is located on 81st street and 2nd avenue. And after that we went for a walk with the kids along Central Park and picked a nice spot in the picnic areas for the kids to run and play bubbles.

Silver Birches Resort: A Roundup of our Stay

If you are trying to whisk away from the stress of everyday life and need some rest and relaxation, I definitely recommend a getaway to the Poconos. This week, we started off our Monday on an adventure road trip to Silver Birches Resort in Hawley, PA for a two night stay. It’s within a 2 hour drive from New Jersey and it’s incredibly convenient and you’ll get some awesome views just while driving there! I’m always a fan of vacations where the scenery driving brings you joy! The resort is located in a quiet community surrounded by the scenic Lake Wallenpaupack. They have a really cool concept and offer several types of accommodations including vintage hotel rooms, suites in their historic inn, different sized houses for larger groups, and cottages which are perfect for families and have a trully home feel. We stayed at cottage 117 which has two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, living room with gas fireplace and one bathroom with stand up shower which was great because the boys are used to it …
