Spring Season at Hersheypark

I received complimentary season pass to visit the park in exchange for a media coverage. As always, all opinions are my own.

For many years, Hersheypark has been on my bucket list! After moving from NJ to PA on Christmas last year, I finally got the opportunity to visit the park with my family during the winter season of Christmas CandyLane. And now that I am living just a few minutes away from the park I can not wait to explore and have fun at Hersheypark all year round!

With that being said, if you haven’t heard the news yet, I am excited to announce that I am one of the Hershey Sweetest Families for 2023! They have chosen me to be part of a blogger team who will be sharing all about Hersheypark experiences! Together with my family, I am hoping to be helpful in answering any questions you might have about the park and also share all of our experiences at the Sweetest Place on Earth!!!

So let’s start talking about the spring season at Hersheypark. The amusement park opened on April 1 and it’s now open every weekend until May 21. Saturdays from 11-8pm and Sundays 11-7pm. And starting in May, Fridays will also be open from 11-8pm.

We had a chance to go grab our season passes and visit the park this past Saturday before Easter Sunday and we had an amazing time. We we t in the afternoon and chose to only visit for a few hours since we had to go anyway to pick up our tickets. We arrived around 3pm and ended up staying until closing time 8pm. The kids did not want to leave 😀

For our family it really worked out because we live close by and will be coming back many times, but if you are traveling from far or are planing a day trip to the park I definitely recommend planing ahead and arriving earlier otherwise you won’t be able to enjoy all that Hersheypark has to offer! The park is HUGE!

Here are a few things we learned so far that can help you when you plan your visit.

Hershey App

Downloading the Hersheypark app will help you navigate thorough the park much easily. It gives you a heads up on the wait times for rides and provide you with a map of Hersheypark which will help you make the best use of your time in the park. When you are in the park, the interactive map will navigate you to any ride you are looking for!

The app comes in very handy because the park is very big. It features more than 50 family-friendly rides including 13 coasters. Once inside the park you can also visit ZooAmerica and The Boardwalk water park (opens May 27- Sept. 4) all included with your admission.

Rides

The boys rode tons of rides all by themselves. There were some rides where we could ride with them and others where they had to ride on their own. So before staying in line, make sure to check the ride requirements. All of them will say if a certain height requires an accompanying adult or if adults are not allowed. This is helpful to know before hand specially if your little one doesn’t like to ride by themselves.

Food

I was amazed by the selection of food options available at the park. They have so many yummy treats and great places to choose from. You will find Starbucks, Subway, Nathan’s, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Chick fil- A, to name a few! And later on I found out that they have an add on for food where you can buy a ticket for all day dinning. More information here!

Drink

They also offer a deal for drink refills. I think this is great specially during the hot summer days! With the All-Day Drink Deal, you receive a 2023 Souvenir Cup and save with free refills on fountain drinks and Slush every 10 minutes on the day of redemption. Plus, you get $1 refills on future visits.

These are just a few tips I think are helpful to learn about before planing your visit. I am sure I will have many more tips to share as I get to experience Hersheypark more often this 2023 season!
