Books- Great Options for your Toodlers

This post is sponsored by Moms Meet, but all opnions are my own. Reading is one of the best things you can do with children if you want them to have a great start in life and grow up with active minds and large vocabularies. It is never too early to start reading. With my first child, I remember I used to read for him when he was still in the womb. And then as he was growing up I was always looking for the right books that reached his milestones. Even if sometimes it seems they are not paying attention or listening, they are! Today, with one toddler and a three year old, its even more important to keep sharing books with them and I take advantage that my toddler tends to focus and engage a lot more when his older brother is around. I like to reserve a time of the day where I sit them down in the backyard or in the living room, put a variety of books out and just have …

Back to School LunchBox Made Easy

This post is sponsored by Sun-Maid, but all opinions are my own.  It’s a new world we are living now and we’re all adapting the best way we possibly can. When it comes to school, so much is up in the air right now, but one thing is not uncertain though, childhood is always in session and our kids are going to need lunch! Well, if your kid is anything like mine, they will need breakfast, a snack, a second snack, lunch, a third snack… you get the idea! My 3-year-old boy would start preschool this year, but it was postponed for 2021 so he will be homeschooled for now. And even though we will be mostly home, I want to keep a schedule and follow a routine, just like he would have if he was going to school. One of the things I have in mind, is to make lunchtime planning easy and fun. I know it can become a little boring at times, so planning ahead for what you are doing each day of the week can be one …

The Philips Avent Soothie Snuggle – A Baby’s Snuggly Friend!

This blog post is sponsored by Philips Avent. The opinions expressed are my own. Please note that this blog post was originally made to be posted 4 months ago (pre-pandemic) when baby Raphael was 11 months old, but it was postponed while we navigate this “new normal” lifestyle. Right now baby is 14 months old, he is still using his Avent pacifier and all opinions are still my own. When I became pregnant with my first son, I was unsure of my stance on soothers, but I was willing to give it a try if I saw it would be a good fit for my baby. Mostly, my main concern was always about the sanitation and keeping that pacifier clean at all times and safe for my baby. Pacifiers are one of those products where you might need to experiment a fair bit before you find something that sticks and I was willing to learn more. So when I was in the hospital they made me fill out a paper where it asked if I wanted …

Little Ones Sleep Program- How it helped us!

Little Ones Baby Sleep Program- How it helped us! This blog post is sponsored by Little Ones Baby Sleep. The opinions expressed are my own When my first son Gabriel was born, we had a really hard time getting him to sleep at night on the first month. He would take long naps during the day and spend most of the nights awake. And between little experience, diaper changes and feeding, I would get close to no sleep. Thankfully that only lasted a few weeks of the newborn phase and little by little he started to adjust to a consistent schedule and sleep patterns. I can safely say that he sort of set his own schedule and slept through most of the nights. Since then he has always been a good sleeper. He is almost 3 years old now, sleeps through the night and takes 2 hours nap during the day. Then why we needed a sleep program? When my second baby boy was born, I knew I wanted him to have better sleep habits …

Miracle Walk to Benefit the Saint Barnabas Medical Center NICU

On Sunday, October 13, 2019, I had the pleasure of attending the 19thannual Miracle Walk in honor of the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). I was invited by NJMOM and this was my first time walking and supporting this beautiful cause.Miracle Walk is an annual walk-a-thon to raise financial support for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility. It was created by a family in gratitude for the care their daughter received during a three month stay in the Saint Barnabas Medical Center NICU.  A team of dedicated parents have joined together to organize and participate in this annual walk-a-thon to raise financial support for the NICU.  Over the years, Miracle Walk has raised more than $6 million to purchase advanced medical technology for the NICU. Friends and families may sponsor a walker, make a donation or walk any distance that is comfortable for them. It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and I attended with my husband and my kids (Gabriel 2.5 years old …

Introducing Solid Foods – Beech-Nut® Naturals

This post has been sponsored as part of a paid program with MomSelect, but as always all opinions are 100% my own. When babies hit that 4-6 months milestones and we know it’s time to start introducing solid foods is always so exciting. It’s time to give them something other than milk and everything that comes around it makes such a special moment. The face they make, the funny looks they give and just watching them start to learn and adapt to new things is just priceless. When that time comes, we all have questions about the best way to introduce new foods, what brand to use and what exactly we should start off with. With my first baby Gabriel I did a lot of research, checked with his pediatrician and with other moms because I did not have much experience. I did not go back to work and I decided to do most of the baby food myself at home. Truth be said, it was very hard to keep up with all the cooking …

Fall Bucket List With a Toddler

This post has been sponsored as part of a paid program with Stop and Shop, but as always all opinions are 100% my own. My absolute favorite time of year is fall.  I love all the smells and flavors of the season!  I love the holidays and the wardrobe. I love it all. And one thing I really want to experience this year is some fall activities with my kids. This summer baby Raphael was born and I feel like we end up spending too much time inside of the house adapting to life with a toddler and a newborn. So I want to challenge myself this fall season to complete a kid friendly bucket list. I want to make sure this bucket list helps me to focus in on the joys of the season, spending quality time with my kids and of course having some fun. There can be so much pressure to make Fall memories, especially expensive or elaborate ones like pumpkin patches and hayrides. I love a good pumpkin patch but those …

Beach Day with a Baby and a Toddler: Must Haves

This post contain paid partnership with Stop and Shop. A trip to the beach sounds like as easy as getting your chair and sunscreen and having some relaxing time correct? Well, when you have kids its not that easy. There is a lot of planning, packing and stuff to cart along with you. Honestly, all the forethought required of a beach trip with a baby and a toddler might make it tempting to skip the salty waves. But think this way, summer time is too short and to see their happy faces when their toes touch the sand makes it all worth it. This week we decided it was time to have our first beach day experience as parents of two. Now with a 3 months old and a 2 year old. I made a list of must haves and did some shopping the day before. To make these beach trips easier for me I like to get all the stuff I need in one stop and Stop & Shop has been my accomplice this …

Budget Friendly Picnic with the Family

This post contain paid partnership with Stop and Shop. Summertime is fun and amazing.  In our family, we like to do activities outside and enjoy the nice weather as much as we can. I love going to parks and playground and setting up a picnic with my little ones, its something we truly enjoy and look forward to. I also like this type of activity because I can plan ahead. But lets face it, it can also cost us a lot of money if we are not careful. This doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy the summer and have fun with our family and friends. It doesn’t have to cost you a lot of money if you simply plan and follow some simple steps. If you are trying to save money this summer whether is on picnics, a trip to the beach or a bbq with the family you should check out Stop and Shop deals. When my family started going through our spending carefully, we realized that we were leaking money from our budget by buying food out. …
