Introducing Solid Foods – Beech-Nut® Naturals

This post has been sponsored as part of a paid program with MomSelect, but as always all opinions are 100% my own. When babies hit that 4-6 months milestones and we know it’s time to start introducing solid foods is always so exciting. It’s time to give them something other than milk and everything that comes around it makes such a special moment. The face they make, the funny looks they give and just watching them start to learn and adapt to new things is just priceless. When that time comes, we all have questions about the best way to introduce new foods, what brand to use and what exactly we should start off with. With my first baby Gabriel I did a lot of research, checked with his pediatrician and with other moms because I did not have much experience. I did not go back to work and I decided to do most of the baby food myself at home. Truth be said, it was very hard to keep up with all the cooking …

Fall Bucket List With a Toddler

This post has been sponsored as part of a paid program with Stop and Shop, but as always all opinions are 100% my own. My absolute favorite time of year is fall.  I love all the smells and flavors of the season!  I love the holidays and the wardrobe. I love it all. And one thing I really want to experience this year is some fall activities with my kids. This summer baby Raphael was born and I feel like we end up spending too much time inside of the house adapting to life with a toddler and a newborn. So I want to challenge myself this fall season to complete a kid friendly bucket list. I want to make sure this bucket list helps me to focus in on the joys of the season, spending quality time with my kids and of course having some fun. There can be so much pressure to make Fall memories, especially expensive or elaborate ones like pumpkin patches and hayrides. I love a good pumpkin patch but those …

Beach Day with a Baby and a Toddler: Must Haves

This post contain paid partnership with Stop and Shop. A trip to the beach sounds like as easy as getting your chair and sunscreen and having some relaxing time correct? Well, when you have kids its not that easy. There is a lot of planning, packing and stuff to cart along with you. Honestly, all the forethought required of a beach trip with a baby and a toddler might make it tempting to skip the salty waves. But think this way, summer time is too short and to see their happy faces when their toes touch the sand makes it all worth it. This week we decided it was time to have our first beach day experience as parents of two. Now with a 3 months old and a 2 year old. I made a list of must haves and did some shopping the day before. To make these beach trips easier for me I like to get all the stuff I need in one stop and Stop & Shop has been my accomplice this …

Budget Friendly Picnic with the Family

This post contain paid partnership with Stop and Shop. Summertime is fun and amazing.  In our family, we like to do activities outside and enjoy the nice weather as much as we can. I love going to parks and playground and setting up a picnic with my little ones, its something we truly enjoy and look forward to. I also like this type of activity because I can plan ahead. But lets face it, it can also cost us a lot of money if we are not careful. This doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy the summer and have fun with our family and friends. It doesn’t have to cost you a lot of money if you simply plan and follow some simple steps. If you are trying to save money this summer whether is on picnics, a trip to the beach or a bbq with the family you should check out Stop and Shop deals. When my family started going through our spending carefully, we realized that we were leaking money from our budget by buying food out. …

Welcome Baby Sibling Class with NJMOM

Hello my friends! How was your Sunday? I hope you had a blessed, wonderful day with your family! Today I had the opportunity to attend a maternity class at the Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, New Jersey. The class is called Welcome Baby Sibling and through this class, small children 3 years and older are introduced to the exciting role of being an older brother or sister that helps them feel involved. We started by meeting Laura Pantusco, a certified child life specialist. She was very nice and made the kids feel comfortable learning about babies and about welcoming them into the new “older brother” world. We followed her along the maternity hall for a tour where moms stay after the delivery. We were able to chat with some nurses and the kids got to see inside the room where moms stay for recovery with their babies. After that we went to a parent education room where Laura had a few props prepared to offer an educational class for the little kids. She started by …

Baby Talk: Boudreaux’s Butt Paste® Rash Kicking Kit

Hello my friends, So if you follow me on social media you have probably seen that today I announced a big surprise: we are expecting baby number 2! Yay 🙂  I am almost 13 weeks pregnant and could not wait to share the news with all of you. We are so happy to be welcoming another bundle of happiness into our little family. Baby Gabe already knows and even though he might not understand completly, he already asks to see the baby= my belly 🙂 So I thought that today would be a great day to share a little experience with baby’s butt paste. I have received a full kit from Boudreaux’s Butt Paste to try and I already knew what to expect. Here is a little story from Gabriel. When he was only 2 months old he got a really bad butt rash. I was desperate and didnt know what to do. My sister in law, she has 3 kids, and she helped me with this. She recommended I used the Yellow paste during the …

My Cubby Convertible Round Crib/ Um Berço 8 em 1

Hello guys, I’m so excited to share these photos with you! When I found out that I was pregnant with baby Gabriel I knew that I wanted him to have his own nursery. I planned and put all together very carefully, after all, it was my first baby and I was very excited with every single detail. I bought a regular crib for his room and a little bassinet to be on my room for the first few days after bringing him home from the hospital. It all worked good, but looking back today I wish I had found Cubby, the convertible round crib before. So lets talk crib…. I recently found out about Cubby. Its a convertible crib made of pine wood. Its basically the only crib your child will need from age 0 to 5.  Its so pratical and it comes with lockable swivel wheels that allow movement from room to room. This crib replaces the need for a few other furnitures: it can be a bassinet for a newborn with a separate …
