When babies hit that 4-6 months milestones and we know it’s time to start introducing solid foods is always so exciting. It’s time to give them something other than milk and everything that comes around it makes such a special moment. The face they make, the funny looks they give and just watching them start to learn and adapt to new things is just priceless. When that time comes, we all have questions about the best way to introduce new foods, what brand to use and what exactly we should start off with. With my first baby Gabriel I did a lot of research, checked with his pediatrician and with other moms because I did not have much experience. I did not go back to work and I decided to do most of the baby food myself at home. Truth be said, it was very hard to keep up with all the cooking and at some point there I decided to give it a try to store bought baby food to help take some load of work off for me. That’s when I came across Beech-Nut® Naturals which is made with real ingredients and gently cooked over indirect heat to preserve color, flavor and nutrients. And by real ingredients, I mean natural fruits and veggies and nothing artificial. Really? What else could I ask for?So now, as a second time mom and much more experienced I am very excited to start introducing Beech-Nut® Naturals to baby Raphael. He is now 5 months and 2 weeks old and he has been exclusively breastfeeding since he was born but now he is already holding his neck and standing still on a high chair so I decided last week that it was time to start giving him solids.
We all want what is best for our kids. The great thing is that Beech-Nut® Naturals feels the same way! As a mama of 2 kids under 3, it’s hard to keep up with all the housework, care for the babies, plus the cooking for the family let alone make my own handmade baby puree. Luckily, I don’t have to feel guilty at all because these great products are made with real fruits and vegetables, just like we would use at home. I love that they are 100% natural with nothing artificial. When thinking about how my little one is going to be fueled, I only want there to be ingredients that are free from artificial preservatives, colors and flavors.
Looking back on my journey with Gabriel who is now 2 and a half years old, I have been so pleased with Beech-Nut® Naturals and I know that this is the best choice for baby Raphael as well. I personally like to start with fruits like banana, apples and pears. Those are easy to prep but I like to expand to a variety of fruits and veggies and that’s when the stage one flavors like just carrots, just mango, just sweet potato comes in. Later on when he gets used to the solids, I will then introduce the mixed flavors like just spinach, zucchini & peas. I did that with my older son and it worked out so great. All the variety of flavors they offer helped to expand his palette and love for fruits and veggies and until today he is a great eater and loves to try new food and different flavors.
Raphael is for sure one happy camper when it’s meal time 🙂 He love his breast milk but is really excited for all the solid food I have been giving him. And as my little #infantfluencer it is important we recommend what is the best for our family. This little boy may be only 5 months but he is one opinionated baby that already show his funny personality and preferences.
