Top 5 Reasons to Visit Yogi Bear Jellystone Park ™ in Quarryville, PA this Summer

We received free lodging at this resort. All opinions are my own.

Summer is around the corner and still time to plan for that family getaway. If you are looking for the perfect destination close to home and packed with adventure, look no further! Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ in Quarryville, PA offers a variety of activities, amenities, and experiences that are guaranteed to make the whole family happy and to create beautiful memories!

Every year my boys look forward to visit the “bear’s home” as they call it.

This is our third time staying at a Jellystone Park and I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Check these posts for more information on our past years visits: 2021 and 2022

And here are the top 5 reasons why Jellystone Park Quarryville, should be at the top of your list this summer:

1 – Relaxing Camping Experience

Whether you are looking for a traditional way of camping or the convenience of modern amenities, Jellystone has a variety of campsites to suit your needs. From tent sites to full service RV hookups, you can enjoy the convenience of on-site amenities like restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities.

If you love camping but enjoy the comforts of a home, then a cabin rental is for you. We stayed at the Trailblazer Cabins. This cabin sleeps up to 10 guests and includes a separated bedroom, bunk bed, loft area and full bathroom, with sink, toilet and shower/tub. It has a kitchen with oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots & pans, dishes, silverware, and more! Outside, we had our own picnic table, fire ring and charcoal grill.

You can also rent towels and linen to make your packing a little easier.

2- Activities and Entertainment for kids

Jellystone Park has a full calendar of events and activities. The best way to keep track of everything happening during your stay is to download the park app. They upgrade it daily with all activities happening each day. This way you won’t miss anything and can always refer to the schedule and see what activities the kids want to take part in.

This time around the boys wanted to do their own tie-dye shirt. They got to choose their tee shirt and then pick their favorite colors and do the whole process of dying the shirt themselves.

They also wanted to do gem mining and find some cool rocks and gems at their gem stone and fossil panning.

These activities are available at an additional charge but we took advantage of it included in our Fun Pass.

The Fun Pass is a new add on that includes camper-favorite activities, tasty treats, take-home souvenirs, games, and more. It’s great if you are staying during peak season and kids would like to take advantage of many activities. You pay $75 for a Fun Pass to unlock $105 in value so thats a deal!

Plus, if you don’t use everything during one stay, you can redeem them throughout the year at the park.

In addition to all the fun activities, kids (and parents alike) also get a chance to join a bear for photos and play at the extensive playground, jumping pillow and mini golfing all included with your stay.

3 – Water Park Fun

When it gets too hot you can cool off at the Water Zone. They have a really nice water park which includes activity pool, slides, a fort, water cannon, spray features, and much more. There is also another level with a kiddie pool and hot tubs. Summer camping with a water park is way much better!

4 – Beautiful Grounds and Surroundings

Whether you’re interested in fishing or simply enjoying the peacefulness of the outdoors, the Skunk Hollow Lake offers one acre of fishing pond for fish and release. With no license required, the whole family can enjoy fishing. We caught a big one and it was the highlight of the day.

Also, if you really love exploring outdoors, there is a hiking trail with access from inside the park that goes along Stewart Run creek and has breathtaking views and beautiful scenery for a nice family hike.

Jellystone Park Quarryville is know as one of the best campgrounds in Amish Country PA, and has plenty to do in the surrounding area! You can buy fresh produce at Lancaster Central Market, learn history about the Amish, enjoy nearby hiking or explore beautiful gardens around.

5 – Family Friendly Campground

Every time we stay at Jellystone Park we have a great time. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. The environment feels safe and my boys can play freely and we all enjoy quality time together.

It’s the perfect place to create lasting memories and let your children explore the outdoors.

Don’t wait to book your summer stay, you won’t regret!

Also check the website for a list of all locations near you. They have parks all around the US.
